# K-TAC RTE-1

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Ks4Oo0Oxe4>" %}

K-TAK RTE-1 (Ruggedized T-Beam Enclosure 1) is an open-sourced ruggedized tactical enclosure for the t beam m8. With the recent ATAK forwarder project, there has been more interest in applying Meshtastic to tactical scenarios, and this is the first enclosure designed specifically for such use cases. RTE-1 was designed around a large battery compartment ensuring space for a high-capacity battery; this will allow days of continuous operation on a single charge. It also utilizes commercially available waterproof components to offer a weatherproof and completely sealed body, protecting the electronics from the elements. Though not a beginner-friendly project, RTE-1 is relatively a simple construction. The body is 3D printed with cnc cutout "armor" panels for added protection and strength.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.k9rockettech.com/tactical-systems/k-tac-rte-1.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
